About These Terms

These terms apply to Cannock Window Cleaning Ltd and any trading names we operate under. By booking our services, you accept these terms. We may update them from time to time.

Estimates & Pricing

All estimates are based on the service frequency agreed at booking. If you change or reduce the frequency, pricing may be adjusted on your next clean.If access is restricted (locked gates, obstacles, etc.), we'll clean accessible areas only and charge approximately 75% of the full price.

Our Service Rounds

When joining our 4 or 8-weekly residential rounds, we typically waive the one-off/initial clean fee and charge only the lower repeat-visit rate from your first clean.
This is offered on the basis that you'll continue for a minimum of 4 repeat cleans after your initial clean. If you cancel before completing 4 repeat cleans, the difference between the one-off rate and repeat rate becomes payable.

Scheduling & Visits

Due to weather, holidays, we can't guarantee a specific time. Our free text reminders let you know the evening before we're coming – these usually go out at 7.30 pm. These are automated and can't be replied to – they're not a communication channel.

Postponements

Need to postpone? Please give us at least 7 days' notice before your scheduled clean.
If we've already arrived at your property, we can't accept a postponement unless building work is being carried out. Postponements without proper notice may be charged at full rate.
If you postpone services and later resume, your first clean back may carry a surcharge (up to 100% of the usual rate) as a one-off clean, at our discretion.

Cancelling Our Services

To cancel, please provide 28 days' written notice.
Cancellations without proper notice may be charged for any work scheduled within that period.
You cannot cancel while postponed services remain outstanding – these must be completed or paid for first.

Commercial Customers

Commercial clients on fixed-term contracts remain liable for the full contract value if cancelling early.
In high winds, we may need to limit or reschedule high-level window cleaning for health and safety reasons. This will be assessed on the day at our discretion.
Payment is due within 7 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.

What Counts as Written Notice

Written notice means email to info@cannockwindowcleaning.co.uk or letter to Carl Fitzgerald, 9 Hobart Road, Heath Hayes, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS12 2SG. Text messages and phone calls don't count as written notice.

Payment Terms

Payment is due within 3 days for residential customers, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late Payments

We'd rather not chase payments, but if your account falls overdue:
- Interest of 2.5% per month may be applied to outstanding balances
- Administration charges may apply: £2.50 for text/phone reminders, £5 for letters, £10 for formal notices, £20 for returned payments
- Unpaid accounts may be passed to a debt collection agency, and you'll be responsible for any associated costs
If you're struggling to pay, please contact us – we'd rather work something out than escalate.

Our Re-Clean Guarantee

Not happy with your clean? Let us know within 48 hours and we'll come back and put it right, no quibble. Complaints after 48 hours are at our discretion.

Access & Obstacles

We need clear access to do our job properly. Due to insurance, we can't move items such as plant pots, garden furniture, or items in the way of conducting our services.
If gates are locked, we'll clean what we can access. If you'd like us to hold a key or access code, we're licensed key holders and happy to help – just ask.
We do not ever climb above garages to access the back of your property.

What We Won't Be Liable For

We take care, but we can't accept responsibility for damage caused by:
- Structural or decorative defects at your property
- Ill-fitting windows, doors, fascias, or guttering
- Leaking seals, rotting frames, or flaking paint
- Decorative bars stuck to glass (if adhesive fails, that's a manufacturing issue)
- Open or broken trickle vents
- Unsecured windows or doors

Weather

Our pure water systems work in all conditions – including heavy rain and temperatures down to -12°C. Weather isn't a valid reason to postpone.
We won't clean during electrical storms. In freezing conditions, we may grit areas where water pools.

Results & Expectations

Optimum results sometimes take a few cleans. Previous cleaning methods can leave detergent residue that causes initial spotting. Dirt in frames and trickle vents may also "leach" onto glass at first – this usually stops after 2-3 cleans once we've fully cleaned the frames.

Your Data

We collect your name, address, contact details, and payment information to provide our services. We don't share your data with third parties except where necessary (e.g., payment processing, debt recovery if applicable).
You can request to see, update, or delete your data at any time by contacting us.

Ownership

All goods and services remain the property of Cannock Window Cleaning Ltd until paid for in full.

Any special offers or promotions may have separate terms, which we'll make clear at the time.
